Welcome to Café Capello, a delightful café situated in the vibrant heart of downtown Reno at 248 W 1st St #250. This charming spot, conveniently located near the Riverwalk and the El Dorado Casino, is the perfect respite for anyone looking to indulge in a delectable breakfast or a refreshing afternoon beverage.

Café Capello stands out not just for its convenient location but for the quality of its offerings. Whether you’re a local or a traveler exploring Reno, this café is the place to be for a taste of culinary creativity and warmth. As you step inside, the ambiance enchants you—a casual yet inviting atmosphere that encourages lingering over meals and savoring every sip.

One of the stars of their breakfast menu is undoubtedly the Breakfast Burrito. Brimming with sumptuous combinations of eggs, potatoes, mushrooms, onion, ham, bacon, cheese, and avocado, all topped with a zesty chipotle sauce, this burrito is a flavor explosion that sets the tone for the day. For a more plant-based option, try the Vegan Brekky Burrito, featuring a tantalizing mix of potato, mushroom, onion, tofu scramble, and avocado—a dish that promises satisfaction for vegans and non-vegans alike.

If you’re in the mood for something lighter yet equally fulfilling, the Avocado Toast on thick-cut sourdough is a timeless classic adorned with cherry tomatoes and arugula that dances on your palate. Coffee lovers will also appreciate their Drip Coffee and refreshing Espresso, both crafted from quality beans to elevate your morning routine. Just imagine sipping a rich espresso while soaking in the café's lively atmosphere!

But don’t just take our word for it! Customers rave about their experiences at Café Capello. George .Berlioz highlights the café's charm, describing it as a place where time slows down to savor every bite. Kayla Moynahan shares her admiration for their quesadilla, labeling it the best she’s ever tasted—a testament to the culinary prowess found here. And C. Leonard notes the café's commitment to quality, with substantial vegan options that cater to diverse tastes.

The secret ingredient, however, seems to be the warmth and kindness of the staff, acknowledged by JD Freeman, who finds Café Capello’s atmosphere not just delicious but also welcoming. Whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying a moment of solitude, the café’s inviting vibe makes it a beloved local haunt.

As you plan your visit, be sure to arrive early, especially on weekends, as seating tends to fill up quickly. So why not treat yourself to a fantastic brunch experience? With filling dishes and a uniquely refreshing drink selection, Café Capello is where culinary passion meets a friendly ambiance, making it a standout destination in Reno.

*In the heart of downtown Reno, nestled near the Riverwalk and just a stone's throw from the El Dorado Casino, lies a gem of a café that will make you rethink breakfast. Café Capello, a spot buzzing with post-Burning Man revelers, is the kind of place where time slows down, if only to savor every bite and sip.* *Let's talk about the Mexican mocha iced coffee—a concoction that hits you like a shot of adrenaline, yet so smooth it could almost lull you into a caffeinated trance. It’s served up by Ivan, a barista who operates with the precision and speed of a top-tier line cook in a packed kitchen. Kudos to him; the man’s a machine.* *And the food? Well, it’s everything you want breakfast to be. The vegan French toast could make a carnivore question their choices—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and topped with just the right amount of sweetness. The grilled cheese is a masterclass in simplicity, perfectly golden and oozing with comfort. Then there's the avocado toast, a vibrant medley of creamy avocado and peppery arugula that makes you wonder why you don’t eat this every morning.* *This café, with its eclectic crowd and electric energy, is more than just a pit stop. It’s a cultural crossroads, a place where the dust of the desert meets the river breeze, and where breakfast isn’t just a meal but an experience. Café Capello is, without a doubt, one of the best places to start your day in Reno.*

Oh. My. Gosh. I don't think I've ever eaten a better composed quesadilla in my life. Wow. I really don't think I would be recommending this item from the menu on the spot if I wasn't this amazed. Sitting outside, covered seating, listening to the sounds of the river, random chatter of people - very relaxing. Great random choice to stop by. Would absolutely recommend.

A small but high quality cafe offering breakfast and lunch with substantial vegan options. My friend and I got a vegan breakfast burrito and vegan French toast, we were both very happy. I also got a vegan cortado which was tasty. I would recommend going earlier rather than than later if you intend to sit, as it seemed to get crowded around 9:30 on Saturday, and seating is limited there. However, their food would be just as good to go!

Absolutely delicious, fast and adorable little Cafe! Within walking distance to all the fun and games, this place is perfect for a late breakfast or brunch after night on the town. We ate the Jacked Up Eggs n' Toast, 10/10 recommend! Also, best iced Chai tea I've had in a long time!

Vegan and in Reno? You must stop here. Great vegan options (and some animal hater items too), all delicious and served with care and kindness by really terrific staff. So glad that I found them. Will be going again before leaving and on my list for anytime in this town again

We ordered regular coffee, matcha late, burrito, and vegan quesadilla. They were all good! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Several seating inside. There’s some parallel street parking outside. It’s by the park and occasionally there’s awkward homeless people. If you wanna avoid them, indoor seating is best.

Oh my goodness, I have to tell you about this incredible place I just visited! My boyfriend and I had the most amazing time there! The ambiance was so inviting and the food was out of this world! We tried the Vegan French Toast and the Vegan Quesadilla, and let me tell you, they were absolutely phenomenal! I'm still dreaming about the flavors! And if that wasn't enough, the Vegan Brekky Burrito was just as delicious! But the real highlight of our visit was Angelina's incredible customer service. She made us feel so welcomed and special, it was like we were old friends catching up. I cannot recommend this place enough, you have to check it out!

Got tired of hotel coffee and decided to take a walk to this cafe next to the Truckee River. I’d been here years before, and it would appear they’ve done a revamp of the interior. Once giving alternate coffee shop vibes, the interior is now that if a Restoration Hardware store. But, we’re here for the coffee, right? The drip coffee is good. I’m not a Starbucks customer. Ever. At all. If that’s what you like then you may not like this place. I also had a vegetarian breakfast burrito. There was enough to feed two people with a decent appetite, and enough for three with lite breakfast appetites. It was delicious! The mushrooms and onions were perfectly caramelized, combined with scrambled eggs, a few potatoes diced and just enough cheese as not to overwhelm everything else. Could have used salt, but I’m a less is more person. So, salt lovers, get out your shakers. I avoided the sterile interior by sitting out on their sunny patio. Before I forget: customer service was friendly and attentive.
